Okay, honestly.., there’s nothing like breakfast on Mackinac 😍☕️🍳🥓 Something I said to Matthew this year was that with Mackinac being such a small island and so many places that are hotels/b&b’s, etc., I feel like the whole island smells like breakfast in the morning and I LOVE it 😍🤤☕️ When Matthew and I honeymooned on Mackinac Island 9 years ago, we stayed on the island for 10 days (!!!) and we stayed at missionpointresort 😍 We were in LOVE with everything about Mission Point👏🏼 One of our favorite things was breakfast at Round Island every morning 🤤☕️☁️ This past year, they made some absolutely stunning changes to their lobby & the Round Island restaurant — so this year, while we didn’t stay at Mission Point, we made a point of having breakfast there on our last day and DANG it did not disappoint!!… both the food and the new look & feel of the restaurant! They’ve opened up the whole place, making it so much more bright & airy and showcasing more of the beautiful view they have of the Mission Point lawn. One of my favorite changes was the low-top tables in the windows rather than the high-tops. It made the windows feel so much bigger and the view felt unobstructed! While it was sooo foggy on our last morning, the view was still out of this world 😍 >> swipe to see what it looked like before in the last slide! Just got back from the island celebrating 8 years of marriage! We had a great time — full of non-stop wandering 🤍 I can’t wait to share all our adventures!! Starting with this one…. We, of course, always make a point of biking around the island (8.2 miles)… but this year we made a mistake 😂 it was drizzling and cold… about 62 degrees… and so, so windy… but we thought we’d be just fine biking! LOL So we grabbed a cup of coffee from our FAV (luckybean.mi) and headed off on our adventure! 🚲 About halfway around the island we were NOT okay 😂 and we were too far along to go back, so we kept pressing forward. Safe to say…. We had some STUNNING, unreal views of the beautifully foggy island….
