there is nothing more nostalgic to me than heading up to mackinac island. this tiny island between michiganβs upper and lower peninsula is nothing but charm...mostly because it hasnβt been updated since 1985 and no motor vehicles are allowed on the island. yup! you can only get around by horse and buggies or by bike! i mean you could also walk but ehhh π and no trip up to the island would be complete without grabbing as much of their world famous fudge as i can carry! what were some of your favorite vacation spots as a kid? β’ #murdickfudge #murdicksfudge #mackinacisland #mackinac #mackinacislandfudge #northernmichigan #puremichigan #fudge #michiganeats

Mackinac Island Fudge, paczki, and Detroit Style Pizza are no-brainers for me. I love them all and would hands down pick each one if forced to choose. The drink decision is a hard one for me though, as I don't really like either of the choices. Sorry. π© Growing up, Vernors was the only pop my Grandma had at her house, and she always insisted on pouring me a glass when we visited. However, I was not a fan of ginger ale and it would take me quite long to drink it, which did not get any better the longer it sat and the warmer it got. π We always had Faygo in our house growing up, but flavors such as red pop, grape or rock & rye did nothing for me. Today, if a Faygo diet-cola was in the mix, that would be my choice. Shoutout to puremichigan from whom we "borrowed" this idea who played their game bracket-style in honor of March Madness. DO TELL!
